A Beacon of Hope
We are beyond excited to share Liam's Lighthouse with you all! Words cannot express the amount of joy I hold in my heart since the reveal! I always knew I wanted to give back in some way to what was our home away from home during Liam’s journey with HLH, but I didn’t know where to start to do this and honor his memory at the same time.
It’s because of Liam that Liam’s Lighthouse is physically standing as a "beacon of hope" at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Colorado in Colorado Springs. It is the first playground piece to an all-inclusive playground and completely custom-made.
There are two very special people, without whom, this dream would not have come true. Sam Milam is one of the sweetest, most calm people you will ever meet. She is the Development Director at RMHC in Colorado Springs. She knew my vision and did not stop until she was able to find the right people to make it happen. Sam put together a ribbon cutting ceremony and dedication that was nothing short of amazing! When we walked out to see Liam’s Lighthouse, the entire staff of RMH was waiting there for us! The amount of love and support they showed us was overwhelming and priceless.
And, Rose Ann Podminick, Liam’s Grammie. The RMH holds a special place in her heart, not only because of who they are and what they do, but because she stayed at one with us while caring for Liam in Cincinnati. She couldn’t wait to become a volunteer once she heard the RMH of Southern Colorado was opening. Her and Sam quickly started to brainstorm.
Because of these two special people, Liam’s Lighthouse was physically created. Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Colorado, KRDO NewsChannel 13 / KRDO.com, FOX21 News, and Captain Dan, THANK YOU for sharing Liam's journey and the opportunity to honor him in this way!

Dynamite The Histio Warrior Dragon
From 2017 through 2021, Liam’s Lighthouse Foundation and Jennifer Mitchell, creator of Dynamite the Histio Warrior Dragon™, joined in the vision to see that all patients affected by Histiocytosis around the world received a Dynamite. We at LLF are proud to have had such an instrumental part in Dynamite's growth and capability to reach so many. During the past 4 years Liam's Lighthouse was able to help deliver over 800 Dynamites to patients around the world.
As Dynamite continues to grow, so does the vision of his creator. We are grateful to have been a catalyst for Dynamite's success and look forward with excitement as the new Dynamite Foundation is created! If you would like to support the Dynamite Foundation and its mission, please visit iFightLikeDynamite.org.
